The RETROFIT55 Consortium was present at the Posidonia exhibition which took place in Athens from 3-7th June 2024. The consortium had a booth at the exhibition where a scale model of the Flexible Wing Sail from Advanced Wing Systems was on display. Exhibition visitors had the opportunity to watch the deployment and stowing of the wing sail from and into the housing container.
A Forum was organized at the exhibition premises where members of the consortium offered a perspective on each of their roles in the project and how these shall contribute to the goals of the project. Guest speaks from 2 other Horizon Europe projects (Green Marine, Innovation Action SYNERGETICS) targeting the same objectives shared their experiences from their projects. The forum had good attendance from exhibition visitors who later also engaged in interesting discussions.
